Doing My part #BHMCampaigns
Last February, I organized a Black History Month event for my family, in which they dressed up as black historical figures. From children as young as 4 years old, to adults, the event served as a fun, educational and empowering way of paying homage to our ancestors.
This Black History Month I intend to further empower my family, friends and as many black youths as I can by participating in the “This Black History Month, Take a Youth to see the Black Panther Movie Campaign”.
We are so bombarded with negative images of our selves, that i feel strongly that this opportunity to see a positive and powerful representation of ourselves on the big screen is one we shouldn’t miss, as well as we should turn out en masse to support it
